Crerar Hotels has sold the Ben Wyvis hotel in Strathpeffer to Strathmore Hotel Group, reports the BBC.

Crerar put a trio of properties on the market back in March, and Ben Wyvis is the first of these it has sold. It is listed with a guide price of £2.5m.

The Scottish hotel group said it was holding “positive discussions” over the sale of the other two hotels – Craiglynne and Eight Acres, both in the north of Scotland.

In January, the group sold Scotland’s Hotel & Leisure Club in Pitlochry. It has already committed about £10m to upgrading a number of properties which is intends to keep.
