The CN Agency Awards, which took place 21 March at Café de Paris, London, has risen to another level. The event featured as part of Channel 4’s Extreme Cake Makers, which aired on Thursday 16 May.

The series was following cake makers Peboryon, a luxury and skilled baker specialising in baking up the wow factor. In undoubtedly their biggest challenge yet, the film saw them receive a brief from CNAA organiser and Mash Media publishing director Simon Farnfield for a grand cake to award to Fay Sharpe, winner of the Pioneer Award.

Peboryon made a towering pink multi-towered cake in the burlesque style, with gold adornments and CNAA logo. The cake was hidden behind a plume of pink ostrich feathers which would fan out revealing the finished article.

Farnfield, who was whisked away from his day job, said: “The CN Agency Awards on national TV, a great topping off, excuse the pun, to a brilliant event! Thank you to Christine and Phil from Peboryon for creating an amazing cake befitting of our awards.”

The icing on the cake saw the towering baked good presented on stage to Sharpe to acknowledge her efforts in helping women aspire to leadership roles in the events industry.
