Conference News hosted the second edition of the Academic Venue Awards on 27 November 2018, in the Great Hall of the University of Birmingham.
The awards recognise excellence in the sometimes-overlooked academic sector of the events industry. The standard of entries was exceptionally high, and judges praised both the overall strength and evolution of the sector.
Comedian Ian Stone was on hand to host the evening, and handed out the 15 awards to their deserving winners. The event was hosted in association with Kinetic Solutions.
