Creative communications agency drp has announced the acquisition of Buckinghamshire-based agency HMX Corporate Communication Ltd.

The acquisition sees the group now employ 280.

HMX is a video, digital media, and live events business, servicing clients in the ‘Big 4’ accounting firms, major consultancies, key law firms and high tech businesses such as Bosch Siemens Homecare, Perkin Elmer and GE Healthcare.

Tim Horrox, managing director at HMX, commented: “This is an exciting transition for us at HMX and I am hugely excited about where this partnership can take us. With the experience and expertise of the team at drp in digital projects and live events, and their established track record in video, this is a very beneficial move for us all.”

Dale Parmenter, Group CEO of drp, added: “We are thrilled to have HMX on board as part of the drp team and we are looking forward to expanding our capacity and extending our capability as a business, helping to support our mission statement of being the company of choice. HMX is an established, creative and distinguished agency which we are very much looking forward to welcoming into our team and bringing their expertise into our business.”

In September 2017, the drp group acquired Windsor-based events agency Penguins.
