Imperial War Museums London are celebrating the centenary of the end of the First World War with two Best of British offers for event bookers.

Peyton Events, the catering and event partner at IWM London is marking the occasion by offering special treats for corporate clients holding either daytime or evening events between 21 September and 30 November 2018.

The museum tells the story of those whose lives have been shaped by conflict, from the First World War to the present day, through permanent and temporary exhibitions.

Now Peyton Events is turning back the clock to provide catering in keeping with traditional teatime and dinner recipes. Those booking a daytime meeting or conference can treat their delegates to a traditional afternoon tea, with platters piled high with finger sandwiches and tea stands filled to the brim with cakes and sweet treats.

Catering for evening receptions will include delights such as mini slow-cooked shepherd’s pies with Berkswell cheese followed by lemon curd tarts with lavender meringues.

“Few dishes are as quintessentially British as shepherd’s pie and finger sandwiches,” said Laura Fitzgerald, senior sales manager for Peyton Events.

“They are also perfect choices for autumn, as we move away from summer berries and salads and turn to the comfort and reassurance of classic, familiar food.”
