American Express GBT completes acquisition of Hogg Robinson Group

American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has completed the acquisition of Hogg Robinson Group plc (HRG), a global B2B services company specialising in travel management. 

Doug Anderson, CEO, American Express GBT, said: “The combination of American Express GBT and HRG will provide clients and travellers with an unrivalled offering. The HRG brand will remain in place as the integration process begins.

From today, Joanna Macleod, American Express GBT’s EVP, Traveler Care, has been appointed chief transformation officer to facilitate the successful integration of the companies, while William Brindle, HRG’s chief operating officer, has been appointed chief operating officer for American Express GBT.
