The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has announced the launch of its salary survey exercise, starting in June, and that it has chosen survey specialist Explori to collect, compile and analyse salary data from participating ESSA members.

ESSA director Andrew Harrison (pictured) explained the association’s decision to restart its salary survey after a short hiatus, saying, “Explori has delivered important improvements over our earlier exercises, including an easy to use online submission system, more detailed breakdowns and more in-depth analysis. Explori’s proven experience and knowledge of the event industry make it the perfect choice for this initiative.”

“At the moment we’re at the first stage,” Harrison continued, “raising awareness among the membership, and strongly encouraging participation. By working with Explori, we have been able to simplify the task of submitting the information, and I hope that many of our members will recognise the benefits of participation.”

ESSA has now sent out the details of its 2018 Salary Survey to its members and will collect data over the summer, and expects to publish the full report to participating businesses by the end Q3 2018. While historical reports will be available for general access in the future, only members who complete the survey will be eligible to receive the latest survey results and trends analysis.

“Members will now have received full details of how to participate in the survey,” concluded Harrison, “but if you haven’t received anything personally, and want your company to take part then contact us at ESSA as soon as possible, and we’ll ensure your company gets to play its part in this important research exercise.”
