This September a major charity gala will be staged in Central Hall Westminster to mark the last 100 days of WW1 hostilities.

Sir Karl Jenkins will conduct The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace at the 100 Days to Peace concert in The Great Hall and all proceeds from the event will go towards the veterans that struggle with mental health problems.

Multiple charities have been tied in with the gala including: Remembered, Help for Heroes and Heads Together – the Royal Foundation’s Campaign and Mental Health Initiative.

Siona Mackelworth, interim director: public engagement at the Royal Armouries, said that Central Hall Westminster was “the perfect venue for our evening of music and remembrance”, with venue MD Paul Southern adding: ”Over the years we have hosted many high-profile and historically significant events… as a not-for-profit company which exists to pay for the upkeep of our wonderful building and support charities around the world, this remarkable concert reflects our ethos to support others.”

The event, taking place on the 6 September, will aim to help the veterans struggling with mental health issues; the size of the hall is a necessity to accommodate the large number of people that will attend the charity gala. Tickets available here
