Following the rebranding of Destination Bristol’s Conference team to ‘Meet Bristol’, a new membership category for the destination management partnership has been launched to enable the team to provide a one-stop-shop for event planners.

The membership is now open to local suppliers who can add value to meetings and events.

Bristol-based PCO Brightelm has become the first company to become a member in this category. The company offers specialist event services aimed towards membership organisations and not-for-profits. MD Rob Eveleigh said: “We’re delighted to be the first PCO to take advantage of the new ‘supplier’ membership category. Bristol is truly a great city for meetings with a wide range of excellent facilities.

“Partnerships between destinations and professional conference organisers like Brightelm are paramount to be able to offer the full support package that many organisers require.”

In November, Bristol, which was designated European Green Capital 2015 status, was highlighted as one of the UK’s most popular destinations for business meetings and events in the annual British Meetings & Events Industry Survey, rising from 11th to 5th place in the survey’s destination rankings.
