Longleat hosted their second annual Networking Fun Day on 21 April, which saw clients and partners came together for a day of activities, hospitality and adventure. Corporate event planners, agency representatives, educational visit coordinators, excursion tour operators and travel trade partners all came together to celebrate the showcase of Longleat’s packages and event services.
As well as laying on private Boat Tours and an exclusive Safari Bus service, Longleat’s team were on hand to showcase the diverse portfolio of products it has to offer, outside of the traditional family day out. This included utilising the Longhouse, the fully self-contained event building, as a base for the day – from which guests could enjoy a hot breakfast and refreshments throughout, along with a BBQ buffet lunch, which complemented the summery day perfectly.
Emily Harding of Bath Venue Finder noted: “Today’s networking events been really successful and [it’s been] really good to see all the facilities that are available.” Hayley Whitten of Biznus Payroll added “[we’ve] really enjoyed the hospitality and the food, and to see what new events Longleat have here, and what they can offer to corporate businesses.”
Leon Troake, operations manager at Cheddar Gorge & Caves was pleased with how the event went also, stating: “It’s been really successful… We’ve been able to really bring to life some of the unique products that Cheddar and Longleat can offer.”
Alongside family fun activities, such as a balloon modeller, face painters and a costume character, a number of immersive activities and props representing Longleat’s sister attraction, Cheddar Gorge & Caves was showcased too. It enabled the team to demonstrate to clients not only the educational aspect of the iconic location, but also to support the launch of brand new corporate adventure packages which are now available to book; such as the Limestone Package which combines a meeting with lunch and an outdoor activity – all the way to the Reach The Pinnacles Adventure Package, giving guests a chance to experience up to four exciting adventure activities in one day across caving, climbing, free falling and Escape Rooms.
