The Tower of London, one of the six venues cared for by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, welcomed 120 guests to an exclusive showcase event, 19 April.

The theme for the evening was ‘Spring Fling’, with the Tower of London team showcasing the venue’s versatility for events.

On arrival guests enjoyed a private viewing of the Crown Jewels, before moving to the White Tower for the drinks reception and canapes.

Dinner followed in the New Armouries.

After dinner, came the evening’s big reveal of the ‘terrace’ area. The floor had been transformed into a lawn by WOW grass and decorated with Twilight Trees and outdoor furniture by Great Hire, giving the illusion of the outside being brought in.

Laura Drake, commercial events manager at the Tower of London, said: “We were thrilled to welcome so many guests to the showcase event. The evening was a fantastic way for myself and the team to highlight how we can transform this wonderfully historic setting into a more contemporary space with décor and production elements.

“The event was also a great way for us to communicate Historic Royal Palaces’ charitable cause, as all events held at the Palaces contribute towards conserving these iconic venues and ensuring they remain well maintained and open for all to enjoy.”
