A new enquiry handling and booking service for Bath has been launched and is set to boost MICE in the city and surrounding area.
Bathvenuefinder.co.uk is an online venue-finding service targeted at corporate event organisers. It is supported by a manned hotline which is provided by established, local venue finding agency Brief2Event.
The new website is also part of Bath Tourism Plus’s plans to attract more corporate events from the MICE market both from UK and overseas.
The destination is strongly pushing its international profile as a world heritage spa city to the MICE market, along with its range of both heritage and contemporary facilities.
Gaynor Thomas, Visit Bath’s business tourism coordinator, explained: “Visit Bath and its Steering Group of local venues recognised the need to provide such a service to support event organisers. Previously organisers had to contact individual businesses to seek availability; we are now offering a central service which is geared up to address their needs.”
Thomas added that she expects to see growth in the Business Tourism sector as a result of the initiative.
