The SITE Great Britain chapter was named as the recipient of the Site Chapter Excellence Award for Membership on 14 January 2018 at the SITE + MPI Global Forum at the Cavalieri Hilton in Rome.
The award recognises the continuing growth and success of the chapter as advocates of incentive travel in their region, promoting the value of SITE membership. It was through the work of the board’s leadership that the chapter grew 12% in the past year by adding new events, effective marketing and increased press coverage. The launch of the SITE Great Britain Incentive Summit in September, a highly successful full-day forum at the Four Seasons, Hampshire focusing on education and knowledge sharing in the incentive travel market, also helped to increase awareness and engagement.
“SITE GB is thrilled to be recognised with this prestigious award” Chapter President Lindsay Hyde said. It proves that we’re getting the message out about the great benefits of SITE membership to help build business connections on a local and global scale.
“A renewed focus on the chapter’s SITE Young Leaders Program led by our board member Oliver Palmer has also brought new members into the association by providing education and networking opportunities appealing directly to professionals who are relatively new to the industry.”
