Following a successful launch event in 2017, Central and Eastern Europe FinTech conference xCEEd has appointed Mike Seaman as conference director. He will support xCEEd founder, Pavle Ljujic, in developing this regional FinTech showcase.
Seaman has been organising events around the world for over 15 years and ran the FinTech portfolio for global event organiser Clarion Events.  Ljujic said: “We decided to appoint Mike to help us take xCEEd to the next level. The potential in the CEE region is vast. It is a nascent market with an ambitious and engaged banking sector that is looking to leapfrog developmental steps in the evolution of financial technologies. We are investing heavily in xCEEd to provide a regional catalyst for FinTech and deploying Mike’s expertise and industry knowledge is an important part of that strategy.”
Seaman added: “I’ve been organising conferences and exhibitions for 15 years and xCEEd is genuinely the most exciting event concept that I’ve ever seen. I was impressed by the success of 2017 and I’m keen to see how we can take the next step and push the envelope even further for 2018. “The vision is to create an experience that is truly unique, where interaction is managed, not accidental and where technology is seamlessly integrated into the delegate experience. We are serious about that innovation and we’ve created our own cryptocurrency, which will be banked in a wallet inside the event app and can be spent at our on-site retail outlet.

“We will also be demonstrating a Bank of the Future via an Augmented Reality portal live on the exhibition floor. In addition, we are running an innovation showcase that gives our delegates the opportunity to meet the innovators behind the very latest disruptive technologies before anyone else.”

xCEEd takes place, 21-24 May 2018, in Belgrade and organisers expect 250 senior delegates from 14 CEE countries to come to meet, network and do business.
