Center Parcs has announced its popular adrenaline-fuelled challenge, The Drop, is now available at Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire. Following the successful launch at Elveden Forest in October 2016, both corporate and leisure guests at Woburn Forest will now be able to experience the activity.
The 10-metre climb up The Drop tower takes guests to the forest canopy where they stand at the height of a three-storey building. Once at the top those that are brave enough can try its four exhilarating elements: the Double Drop Zip Wire, Air Bag Jump, Leap of Faith and Quick Jump.
On one side of the tower, guests will find the Double Drop Zip Wire, where they can clip into a safety system and zoom across a clearing back to earth. On the Quick Jump, delegates step off the wooden platform and experience the thrill of free fall before their harness takes the weight and lowers them gently to the ground.
On the third side of the tower is the Leap of Faith, where delegates spring from the platform towards a suspended punch bag, dangling in mid-air at varying distances to adjust difficulty levels. The final activity is the Air Bag Jump, a freefall onto a gigantic inflatable mattress for a safe and comfortable landing.
Liz Pilling, corporate events commercial manager at Center Parcs, said: “We are continually investing in our facilities to ensure we are able to offer our corporate guests new and exciting teambuilding activities. The Drop has proved to be a popular option since it was launched at Elveden Forest and we are thrilled to now be able to offer it to delegates attending events at Woburn Forest.
“Clients are always looking for new teambuilding activities that challenge their teams and take them out of their comfort zone and The Drop offers exactly this. Equally, with our extensive range of teambuilding activities clients can combine The Drop with a one or more of our other slightly less challenging activities to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy.”
