The Business of Events Conference, which is being held at the QEII Centre in London on 3 November, will now include a reception for senior leaders from across the UK business events industry, government officials and senior Members of Parliament.
Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, John Glen, has agreed to attend the reception, which will be held at One Great George Street in Westminster on the eve of the conference (2 November), as well as a private dinner for some of the UK’s leading destinations, venues and organisers.
The Business of Events, which is being supported by both VisitBritain and the Business Visits & Events Partnership, will enable senior leaders from across the industry to hear from government representatives about future plans to support the sector, and learn more about VisitBritain’s strategy to attract more international business events.
Official conference partners of the event include VisitScotland, London & Partners, ibtm events, Cvent and Visit Aberdeenshire.
