BI WORLDWIDE has announced its best ever results for the year ended 30 June 2017. It is the seventh year in a row the company has increased sales and profitability.
Key highlights include:
- Sales up 22% at £55m (£45m in 2016)
- Operating Profit (net of exchange differences) up 21% at £3.4m (£2.8m in 2016)
The agency also reports that it grew its workforce to almost 250 and has invested in additional office space close to its existing Newport Pagnell headquarters. The company achieved Investors in People Silver accreditation during the year and is striving to achieve the Gold standard over the next two years.
Managing director Mike Davies comments: “Creating a great culture and working environment continues to be a focus and the underlying philosophy of how we operate. This allows everyone in our organisation to deliver great client work and deliver excellence in everything that we do. It’s a cliché, but we truly are a people business and I am delighted that we will be paying bonuses to all eligible Associates for the seventh year in a row.”
Davies went on to say: “We already know of two major clients that will not be spending the same as previous years. Despite this, we continue to be optimistic and have budgeted for small gains in the year ahead. The uncertainty following the Brexit decision remains the biggest threat to our continued growth. To combat this we have started to assume a future that includes a ‘hard’ Brexit and are planning accordingly.”
