Meetings and travel management company Inntel is celebrating the start of the football season with a hat-trick of football and sports related local sponsorships.

The agency recently introduced a three-year ‘2020 Vision’ business strategy, focussing on key targets for growth, including corporate social responsibility. Part of the plan is investment in three local sporting associations: Colchester’s Sports Personality of the Year Award, Bures United Under 17s Football Club and Colchester United FC.

A spokesman for Sport Colchester, organisers of the SPOTY awards ceremony also to be sponsored by Duley Practice, local partner of St James’ Place Wealth Management, said: “We are absolutely delighted for this support. This will enable us to continue to organise this event for the foreseeable future.”

Sponsoring of Colchester United FC will see match tickets given to randomly-selected employees on a game by game basis giving Inntel staff a chance to experience watching their local team with executive hospitality.

Douglas O’Neill (pictured), CEO at Inntel said: “We’ve experienced impressive growth in both size and revenue over the past few years at Inntel, for which we are incredibly thankful, so it’s a pleasure to be able to invest some of our efforts back in to our local community. As a company, we are always seeking to recognise and give opportunity to local talent through employment and work-based prospects, so it’s fantastic to be able to acknowledge and celebrate the sporting endeavours of those within our local region too.”
