The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has announced the 2017 shortlist for its prestigious miaList awards.
Launched in 2011, the miaList celebrates outstanding and passionate individuals from the meetings, hospitality and events industry who go above and beyond the call of duty.
Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “I am delighted to see so many of the meetings and events industry’s most hard-working and passionate individuals shortlisted for this year’s miaList. The volume of entries received was fantastic and the shortlisting process wasn’t easy, which is testament to the number of talented and inspiring individuals we have working in our industry.”
Judged against extensive criteria, the miaList awards welcomed nominations for people in a range of categories, including: Conference & Events, Food & Beverage (Production), Food & Beverage (Service), Front of House, Back of House, Sales, Marketing, Leadership, Team of the Year and Agency Team of the Year.

The shortlist for both Team of the Year and Agency Team of the Year will be announced in July.
