Another week and another revelation that has split the United Kingdom in two.

1. Heath-grow

2. Fire is still man’s oldest foe

Today, one of England’s oldest hotels – the Royal Clarence in Exeter, Devon – was ravaged by fire. Thankfully no injuries have been reported, but the extent of the damage is not yet clear as, at the time of writing, fire-fighters are still tackling the blaze.

3. Mr. Holland is not the president of France

When the news came in we thought the European Union had been thrown another curve ball, but it turns out Mr. Hollande isn’t going anywhere (yet). Not so. It turns out that Visit Holland’s cheerful mascot, Mr. Holland, has thrown in the towel instead.

4. The future sounds terrifying

You’d of thought that HRH The Princess Royal cutting another ribbon would be our top pick, but we’re more interested in the contents of the time capsule she buried. Local children were asked to list things they hope to see in 50 years time. Clearly number four hasn’t worked because if it did, someone would have come back to say “well done”.
