British Venture Capital Association has announced their support of Crowdfest, recognising that crowd funding plays an important and growing role in corporate finance.

Crowdfest, organised with the UK Crowd Funding Association, has already secured the support of the Federation of Small Businesses, the Institute of Directors, the UK Business Angels Association and the Confederation of British Industry, and promises to be Europe’s most comprehensive crowdfunding event yet.

The event will host over 65 speakers, 10 optional workshop streams covering topics as diverse as crowd funding for gaming and Sharia-compliant crowd finance, 2 exhibitions, live pitching and polling, and an after networking party.

Richard Paterson, the event organiser, said: “Because crowd funding encompasses such a wide range of sectors and interests, the only way to provide really meaningful content is to offer several specialist streams.  But at the same time, it’s great to come together as part of a much larger crowd so you can share experiences, knowledge, opportunities and ideas.”
