Venue marketing consortium London City Selection (LCS) has announced an 15% increase in membership growth during the year to date compared to 2015.
LCS also reported enquiries for event bookings at its member venues worth £1.8m during the same period.
Initiatives driving the growth include increasing member engagement through a variety of knowledge sharing sessions, adding the ‘Big City Site Visit’ for corporate buyers and driving enquiry growth through new marketing initiatives, digital in particular.
The new members to the fold include Guildhall, The Steel Yard, Gibson Hall, Thistle City Barbican, The Mermaid and 47-58 Bastwick Street – The Institute of Structural Engineers.
LCS chair, Oliver Hargreaves, said: “We have had a strong year, having seen a 15% increase in membership and high levels of booking enquiries through our re-launched website which has demonstrated real value to members.
“It has been great to welcome so many prestigious venues to the collective and strengthen our offering with a selection of modern and Grade II listed buildings in the heart of the City.”
LCS claims to be the only venue collective to require the Meetings Industry Association AIM accreditation as a membership criterion for venues.
