Lime Venue Portfolio (LVP), a British and Irish portfolio of unique, sporting and cultural meetings and events venues, has launched its 2016 Christmas campaign, ‘Christmas with a Sparkle,’ with a trekking challenge up three of the UK’s highest mountains.
The ‘three-peak challenge’ will see events professionals ascend Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (968m) and Snowden (1085m) across three days to attend three meetings.
Taking place between 27-29 August, the challenge is part of a wider campaign developed between LVP, Meeting Needs, and Happy Days, one of Meeting Need’s partner charities, who create unique experiences for disabled or disadvantaged children. The campaign, which runs throughout September, is expected to raise up to £2,500.
Richard Kadri-Langford, LVP’s head of marketing, said: “As meetings and events professionals, we’re lucky enough to be a part of creating the very best experiences, every day. So the idea of supporting a charity whose mission is to provide disadvantaged children with great experiences really resonated with us.”
He added: “It’s a great way to launch our Christmas campaign and I’m looking forward to having three of the highest meetings of the year in the space of three days!”
For those that can’t make it, LVP have committed to donating £10 for every enquiry taken in September that quotes “#sparkle,” subject to terms.
As well as the donation from LVP, and money raised on the three peaks, venues within the portfolio will have collection boxes throughout the campaign, all of which will help LVP reach its £2,500 commitment to Meeting Needs.
