Essex-based meetings, accommodation and travel management agency Inntel has reported an increase in overall client spend for the first six months of 2016, as well as a jump in its own revenues.
Client spend between 1 January and 30 June 2016, the agency said, was up 11% on the same period last year, while the company revenues were up by 6%.
Inntel attributes a majority of the increase to a 20% leap in spend on conference related business travel and a 12% increase in spending on accommodation.
Jane Dibble, director of business development at Inntel, said: “Our first quarter results suggested that the rapid growth trajectory we had been on for a year would continue, and these six month figures show that we were right to be positive. I am equally sure that this period of growth is far from over, particularly as we have secured new client contracts of £7m in recent months.”
The company claims a “robust” customer base, with a retention rate of 95% of its existing clients in an industry that, it said, should consider 70% retention a significant achievement.
