Edinburgh’s International Conference Centre (EICC) is expecting two association conferences this year (Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and Airmic conferences) to boost the local economy to tune of £6m, amid a doubling of association business at the venue in 2016.
The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries has confirmed that its Life Conference & Exhibition will take place at the EICC in November this year, in addition to the already confirmed Pensions, Risk and Investment Conference 2016 with AFIR/ERM, which takes place 31 May – 2 June.
Meanwhile, Airmic Limited (the Association of Insurance & Risk Managers) has confirmed a two-year deal for their June 2020 and June 2024 conferences.
EICC chief executive Marshall Dallas said: “The sales and marketing team has been nothing short of prolific over the last 12 months, including their role in securing the contract wins we’re announcing today.”
