Manchester Central claims to be the first major venue in the UK to reach triple ISO success.
The venue has achieved the international standard for quality management systems, ISO 9001, a few months after being accredited with ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management. Manchester Central has also been re-accredited for a second time with ISO 20121, the international standard for sustainable event management.
In gaining these standards, the venue overhauled its event-related processes, establishing departmental standards to ensure the consistent delivery of a quality service.
The accrediting bodies commended Manchester Central for its efforts in implementing a robust customer feedback and satisfaction procedure as well as infrastructure maintenance plans and a comprehensive internal audit structure.
The accreditation also brings Manchester Central closer to becoming a paperless environment following the introduction of an online document management system.
Manchester Central chief executive Angie Robinson, said: “Gaining the ISO 9001 accreditation absolutely exemplifies Manchester Central’s dedication to providing the highest service standards. We are committed to consistently exceeding our customer’s expectations and are delighted to add a third ISO accreditation to our list of accolades and maintain our position as an industry-leading venue.”
