SEFA to host forum on Commonwealth Games legacy

The Scottish Festivals and Events Association (SEFA) is bringing together some of the key people involved in the delivery of Glasgow’s 2014 Commonwealth Games to discuss the game’s legacy and impact on Glasgow and the wider Scottish events industry.
 
The event on 19 November at the City of Music Studio at the Glasgow Concert Hall will feature presentations and panel discussions with the aim of allowing attendees the opportunity to gain further insight into the long term impacts that hosting the games can have on the city. 
 
Speakers will include Scott Taylor, Chief Executive of the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau; Paul Zealey, Head of Engagement and Legacy for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games; Stuart Turner, Events Director at EventScotland;  and Ian Hooper, Director of Sport and Special Projects at Glasgow Life.
 
“With such a massive year in Scotland for events, we ask how can we maximise on the potential and how can we build on this for the future,” said Chris Lawson, SEFA Vice-Chair. “This event is bringing together key stakeholders in an open forum, it should prove to be a great event with lots of insight.”
